So unless you've been living under a rock for the past two days, you've probably heard that John McCain has picked his choice for Vice President and, I must say, it is one of the most superb and amazing picks that has ever come up on a Republican ticket. Her name is Sarah Palin, the governor of Alaska. She's a strong conservative Republican and she is the ultimate example of a hard working American who started out small and, through strong ideals and strong determination to do what's right, has become a moving force in the way politics are run.
Palin's story is an amazing one. Starting out as a simple "hockey mom" in Alaska, Palin joined the PTA and then ran for mayor, where she was then elected Governor of Alaska. Along the way she has made some great accomplishments. As mayor, she stopped wasteful spending and worked hard to cut property taxes. As the chairman of the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission, she fought and beat corruption there. And as Governor of the state of Alaska, she has sent state revenue straight back to the Alaskan people, appointed both Democrats and independents to her administration, fought special interests groups and lobbyists, and championed a reform to end earmark spending by our out of control Democratic Congress. And now she's ready to bring her ideals to Washington. Her leadership experience is amazing and her ideals on reforming Washington and the way politics (and the politicians) work is something to get excited about.
The liberal media and Democratic party have been scrambling to find some dirt on this lady, but there's none to come by, so they've made some concerns up to try and dissuade and deceive anyone listening. They're going off that no one really knows this woman. So? What's the big deal? The purpose of the next two months until election day is designed for us to get to know her, and so far with everything to hear, there's not really much to complain about at all. They say she has too little experience. In being the sole, single leader of a large group of people, she has more experience than even Barack Obama does. They say she doesn't know foreign policy as well as Biden does. The thing is, Biden's experience in foreign policy has gotten this nation no where, so I don't see why he has anything to be proud of.
There are so many cracks in the Obama/Biden campaign that it's almost hard to imagine why people believe and support these people. Obama preaches change. "WE CAN CHANGE!" How Barack? How are we going to change? Obama preaches change, but his pick for vice president is a man whose done nothing to change Washington even though he's been in office for 35 years. Obama preaches change, but he doesn't even pick a woman to add to his ticket. Biden has sat around and complained about America, but done nothing to fix it. Everyone is a victim in his mind and the big, bad Republican party are the victimizers. He's incapable of coming up with solutions only sitting around and pointing out problems. And anyone that has worked hard, made accomplishments, and become successful is clearly an arrogant, evil, and selfish American. You're no good in his book unless you have a problem. Because then he can point at you and shout "George Bush ruined your life!" He makes no sense. And to add to that, the guy can't seem to hold his mouth. He's made numerous racial and sexist slurs through out his career, one even against his wife. Obama and Biden shout that Palin has little experience, but the thing is where Palin has shortcomings, McCain is there to pick up the ball on experience with 25 years in Washington and 27 years serving in the U.S. Navy. It's a team effort, one that the Democratic Party is hard to pick up on.
Democrats go on and on about how McCain and Palin don't know the lives of working class Americans, but the story is completely backwards. McCain has worked hard in the military and in life to get to the financial success he has now. And I've already told you of Palin's story. Apparently, according to Biden and Obama, it's a horrible sin to be rich and successful after living a long life of hardships and working hard to get where you are. I'd like to see Obama go through five years in a Vietnamese POW camp, and come out with honor and dignity. And lastly, the Dems are freaking out over the fact the McCain is old and he is putting Palin within a heartbeat of becoming president. The thing is, with any vice president, that person is within a heartbeat of being sworn into office. The idea is nothing new at all, so the idea of making it an issue now dumfounds me entirely. Biden is within a heartbeat of becoming president and he obviously doesn't have the confidence and support to be president from his own party, otherwise he would have won the primary and be accepting the convention's presidential nomination instead of Obama. This is the same Joe Biden who has openly criticized Barack Obama in the past. The guy is the walking example of a hypocrite. And Barack is nothing more than a celebrity who can read through a tele-prompter...
To conclude, McCain has made a stupendous choice by choosing Palin. This is a woman who can literally change Washinton, not complain about it. She is going to break barriers for women everywhere and set an example that even Hilary Clinton would and probably is jealous of. She's a strong conservative Republican who we can all be confident in to change the senate and be ready to lead this nation if the worst were to happen. She has been a leader and knows what it's like to have to clean up shop. She understands how it is to be a working mom and deal with high gas and grocery prices and she's ready to work hard to bring energy independence to America. Don't be deceived by the lies of the liberal media, and support John McCain and Sarah Palin in 2008!!!
